Where We Work

Impacting Lives in Fiji

ADRA in Fiji seeks to build a future that is characterized by equity, opportunity, freedom of choice, responsible stewardship of resources, and individual and collective security.
ADRA works to improve the lives of the People of Fiji. The agency searches out deprivation, social injustice, and need—then works to eliminate them with significant partnerships.
ADRA Fiji invests in the potential of individuals through Education, Food Security strategies, promoting Health, establishing Economic Empowerment, and responding to emergencies. Our footprints are all over Fiji – in Viti Levu, Vanua Levu and in the maritime islands such as Kadavu, Lau, Vatulele and Lomaiviti Group.

Rebuilding Koro Island

Severe Tropical Cyclone Winston was the most intense tropical cyclone in the Southern Hemisphere on record, as well as the strongest to make landfall in the Southern Hemisphere, and the most intense tropical cyclone worldwide in 2016. Since it caused excessive damages on the island, ADRA Fiji has been there to provide emergency support and is still there to rehabilitate the lives of people on the island.

Footprints in the Lau Group

ADRA Fiji’s presence in the Lau Group has been significant recently since it started working on Vanua Balavu post TC Winston. To date, livelihood support is still directed to the island whenever possible and ADRA Fiji expands its work to other islands in the Lau Group, including farthest Ono Island, through multi-purpose cash assistance as part of TC Harold response.
