The Australian Humanitarian Partnership (AHP) in collaboration with the Adventist Development and Relief Agencies (ADRA) Fiji under the Disaster READY Country Committee Fiji is looking for suitable candidates to fill in the following positions:  

  1. AHP Communications Officer 
  2. AHP MERLI Officer 

1. AHP Communications Officer

The Communications Officer is responsible for the design, coordination, implementation and reporting of a multi-faceted Communication Plan to support the AHP DR Fiji Country
Committee (DRCC)
Collaboration with AHP Support Unit DFAT Post Communications Advisor/Focal Point.

Key Competencies:
  • 5+ years’ communications and journalism experience preferably in the humanitarian sector. * A tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline will be an advantage.
    • A strong and varied writing portfolio, covering a variety of audiences.
    • Primary competencies – strong writing skills, Digital, photographic, videography and social media experience and strong public relations.
    • Print layout and knowledge of relevant design software and video-editing, professional printing and publishing will be an advantage.

2. AHP MERLI Officer

The Monitoring Evaluation Research Learning Innovation (MERLI) Officer provides high level Monitoring and Evaluation guidance and coordination for the AHP Fiji DRCC and Fiji Partners in liaison with the AHPSU MEL Specialist.

Key Competencies:
  • A relevant undergraduate degree with 5 years+ demonstrated experience in MERLI. Post-graduate qualification would be an advantage.
    • Advanced interpersonal and coaching skills
    • Advanced writing, research, and group facilitation skills
    • Strong data analysis skills (both qualitative and quantitative)
    • Proficiency in relevant software and data collection and analysis tools
    • Ability to work in cross-cultural settings with diverse stakeholders
    • Advanced understanding of DFAT Monitoring and Evaluation standards and tools
    • Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines
    • Familiarity with at least 1 local language
    • Must be able to work on extended hours outside normal working hours.
